Field conditions

Well to state the obvious, the field is wet. Went out this evening to see how it was draining. On Wednesday I checked on it and the north half was under water and the field east of the runway was flooded from the field to route 4. The water was not standing on the field today, it was yesterday, but the pits, pavilion, and the parking area west of the pavilion still had standing water in the usual spots. If we get the rain forecast for this week, the field may not dry out until the second full week of May. Also with all this water, it would be a good idea to take bug spray when going to the field for the foreseeable future. The mosquitos will be in full force.
