All Season Flyers 2024

A new year and another chance to start your All Season Flyers journey. Yesterday 8 members managed to get their flights in. I started the year with 3. The weather is supposed to be good for the next couple of days if you missed yesterday. This is the most challenging time to get your flights in with the weather so if a good day comes along go out and get a flight in. The rules are the same as before, when you make a flight, log it in this forum. We had 4 people completed the challenge last year. Lets see if we can't get a few more this year.

Made my flight for the coming year, and had a great day over all! Kelsey burned circles with his electric plan, which proved easier than mine, because my fingers got so cold trying to get the engine started! It ran great after it warmed a little, and had no problems. Wind, what there was of it, was nearly right down the runway.

Got my 1st flight of 24 in today. Was cool and windy. New plane was a little all over the place so will work to get it dialed in.

February is done. Only made one flight tonight just before sunset, the wind gusts finally dropped below 20 mph. Not the greatest day but this time of year you have to take what you can get. Hope we have some better days before the end of the month.

Wow! Thought I might miss it! Hard to catch the right day to get in a flight for February, but this afternoon turned out ‘good enough’ to get in two. It’s in the books now, and Kelsey got his too!
So now... it’s on for March!

Great day at the field today, the weathermen actually got it right for once. Six members getting flights in, light to no wind and not a cloud in the sky. There were three additional members who stopped by to chat awhile. Outstanding day for late February. Hope we see a couple more like it soon.

I got my March flight in. Stayed after dark and watch Keath fly his night flyer. Great fun.

March is done. Decided to get it in after work when the winds were scheduled to be light. Managed to get in 4 flights, 2 before sunset and 2 after with my night flyer. I'm ready for the club night fly now. Getting flights in will be easier after this weekend with the time change.
