Santa brought me a "Giant Big Stik" for Christmas .Just what I needed , another plane. I will post a few pictures as I put it together. luckily I already have everything I need to make it fly. It has a 80.5 wingspan. Weights about 14 lbs. I will be putting a DLE 30 engine in it and a pitts muffler with smoke. It's supposed to take about 14 hours to build . I figure it will take me about 14 Days!!!

I'm still working on the Stik. On utube the biggest complaint was the plane tends to be tail heavy , so I'm going to put all the things I can in the nose of the plane. It's getting a little crowded. I created a raised floor so I could put some below and some above.

A list of things in the nose.

throttle servo
ignition module
4.8 volt ignition volt battery
6 volt receiver battery
6 volt smoke battery
smoke pump
switches
all related fuel lines.

I got a little more done on the Stik. Stay tuned , more to come. I'm doing it a little at a time.
I'm trying to make it last as long as I can. It's going to be a long winter. ;)

The Stik is coming along slowly , but at least it's coming along.

I made a cowl to cover the engine, It gives it a more finished look. :D

Also, the wheels are not the ones that came with the ARF. They are ones that someone gave me. Looks more like a world war 1 airplane.

Things went a lot faster when I got to the wings. All I had to do was install the servos and CA the flaps and ailerons in the precut slots. The wing is in two pieces with a wing tube. I decided to put a Pilot I had on it. I had to make a plate to mount the pilot on and join the wing together,, Even putting all the weight I could in the nose ,it still needed 10 oz. of weight on the fire wall to get it to balance on the recommend CG. All done, the total weight came out about 14 lbs. It should have unlimited vertical . :D
The Stik is ready to test. :D
