Re: Landing gear toe setting

Everything I can (still) remember about landing gear says put toe-in in the mains.. Supposed to be more stable as the plans lifts off, or something. You're right Ron, slight amount of toe-in. Toe-out will cause the plane to want to pull to one side and then the other or "wander" during take off and...

Re: Flying in Oklahoma - Flying in the Wind

When I returned to western Canada after visiting Oklahoma in 2000 I was asked by a few of my club members how the flying conditions were here. I replied that there were days that when the birds wanted to travel, they had to walk. :o :o :D

Re: Sig Somethin' Extra Electrified

Been doing some reading on this and it appears that current draw depends on stall torque but rule of thumb is as follows. (Standard servos approx 40-49 oz-in or 2.9-3.5 kg-cm) For 4.8v....Running current=0.2A, Stall current=0.8A For 6.0v....Running current=0.25A, Stall current=1.0A Hope this helps. ...

Re: Eindecker Electric Set-Up

It may well be set on soft start as I believe that is a factory default setting. I was not aware it would make a difference. When I ordered the ESC I did not order the program box as I assumed I would be good to go with the factory settings but if I need to order the program box I can do so.

Re: Eindecker Electric Set-Up

Phil, The E-III conversion is complete. All that has to be done now is to test fly and I hope to get that done as soon as the winds and my nerves are calm. I would post a few photos to show what was involved in the conversion but the site won't allow me to do so as it tells me all the photos are too...

Re: Eindecker Electric Set-Up

Hiya Phil, Thanks for the info. It all sounds pretty complicated for me anyway. I'll have to try and digest it all and see what I can come up with. Dustdevil is helping me work on this conversion too and I sure appreciate the time and effort you guys are putting into it for me. I can use all the hel...
